Harrington 1996

“Harrington 1996” is an original work of art rendered solely in oil paint pens. It is 8×10″ on canvas and was completed in March 2020. I have been using oil paint pens for line work in my art for over 15 years now. I wanted to see what a painting would be like if I strictly used paint pens. This was the result.

This is a Portrait of American Life of the mid-90’s in Chicago, and a throwback to my time at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. Harrington was a design school in the next building over from the Academy. The school no longer exists.
